Additional Computer Classes

Hannah is doing a good job with our Tuesday night classes and the facility has formal Thursday morning classes.
If you cannot make either of these then please suggest a time (evenings; specifically) when you would like further access to the computer suite - the association will arrange it.

The Future of the Community Centre

The decisions regarding the continuation of the Cafe and the Staff will be made this week. The prospect for continuation funding is poor and it is unlikely that sufficient revenue can be raised from room rental to sustain our current activities.
The Association will have to review the ammenities it currently offers as a result.

An idea for the Community Centre?

The building may become Community owned in the future and if that happens we need to have a business model to sustain our charitable activities and objectives.
This is a possible scenario where the focus is on a shop/gymnasium/ holiday lets and our cafe which could be the "trading arm"of our charity.

The Future of the Community Centre

The Community Centre is going to be transferred from the MTCBC to Merthyr Valley Housing by the end of the year. This does create a little uncertainty about the future of the project as there are issues relating to land and conveyance which will be complex. The association is committed to ensuring that we pursue our agenda and our objectives.
