On Saturday night 19th Feb vandals burned the Speed Indicator sign on the bottom entrance to the village. The cost of this sign is £2500 without the additional labour.It has taken the community and its partnership over 6 years to get any kind of speed restriction for the main road through our village.
This crime may not seem anything, other than mindless vandalism, but it will be a tragedy if a child or any resident is injured or killed by a speeding vehicle when crossing this road whilst the sign is out of service.
